Member of Parliament for Tano South, Charles Aseidu, has urged Ghanaians to trust President John Dramani Mahama’s government on handling external economic shock in connection with the Iran–Israel war, saying it will not undermine the country’s resilent economic.

Speaking on ‘Anopa Bofo’ on Friday, March 19, 2026, he stated that the government is implementing measures to ensure that all external economic shocks are absorbed.

“The government says everyone should be calm, and in every way, the government is there for its people. The government is there to ensure that its citizens won’t go into hardship,” he said.

He further stated that officials and industry players in the oil sector have met to discuss fuel and power stability.

“In fact, this week the energy minister at the energy ministry called us all, and we went to sit down to have a conversation,” he stated.

Mr. Aseidu added that the government is prepared to resolve any problems that might arise from the war to ensure Ghanaians do not face hardship.
