The Ministry of Health has stepped up efforts to enhance leadership, accountability, and training quality across Health Training Institutions (HTIs) through a targeted corporate governance and capacity-building workshop.

Held under the theme “Strengthening Leadership and Institutional Excellence in Public Health Training Institutions,” the initiative forms part of ongoing reforms aimed at building a skilled, well-distributed, and future-ready health workforce.

Addressing the participants, Deputy Minister for Health, Prof. Dr Grace Ayensu-Danquah, emphasised the pivotal role of HTIs in shaping Ghana’s healthcare future.

She stressed the need to move beyond numbers and focus on developing professionals with specialised skills to manage increasingly complex health conditions.
