Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Amenfi Central, Engineer George Kofi Arthur, has officially declared his bid to contest for the position of Western Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to him, his mission is to move the party from addition to multiplication by strengthening structures, boosting unity, and ending all forms of discrimination within the NDC in the region.

He pledged to empower women, youth, polling station agents, and vulnerable groups, with special focus on pioneer NDC elders who laid the foundation of the party.

In a statement officially announcing his bid on Saturday, April 18, 2026, Engineer Arthur vows to transition the NDC and to also drive it forward in the West.
