The Government has announced that work on a Specialist Cardiology Center at the Tamale Teaching Hospital is progressing.
The Minister for Government Communication, Felix Kwakye Ofosu said President Mahama inspected the site and launched the project, which is funded by the Ghana Medical Trust Fund (Mahama Cares).

He noted that the center will host vital cardiology facilities, including a CATHLAB, currently not available in all 5 regions of Northern Ghana.
The Minister stated that work is expected to be completed by the last quarter of this year.

This development is expected to significantly improve healthcare services in the region.
The center will reduce the need for referrals abroad and provide advanced treatment options for cardiovascular diseases.
