Newly appointed Black Stars coach Carlos Queiroz has described his role with Ghana as the greatest challenge of his coaching career.
He remarked at his outdooring ceremony on Thursday, April 23, 2026, where he officially assumed leadership of the national team following Otto Addo’s dismissal.
Addressing the press, the Portuguese tactician noted that the responsibility of managing the Black Stars carries immense weight, making it one of the most demanding assignments in his extensive career.
“Since I arrived, I have felt the vibration. I realised the soul of the Black Stars is huge, and as a result, the expectations of the Black Stars are huge. This is the biggest challenge of my entire career. Because in Ghana they don’t expect anything but to win, win, and win,” he stated.
He added, “I can promise that I will bring my forty years of experience to help.”
Queiroz further appealed for national support, urging Ghanaians to rally behind the team as he works to restore its glory on the global stage.
