The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) Ghana has seized 140 boxes of alcoholic drinks mixed with stimulants in the Upper East Region, as part of its efforts to ensure public safety.
The seized products included Bel Ice Vodka Energy Drink and Cody’s Vody Energy Mix.

According to the Authority, these beverages are banned in Ghana because they mask intoxication, leading to overconsumption and health risks.
In a public warning, the FDA advised consumers to avoid the prohibited products and emphasized its commitment to prioritizing public health safety.
The FDA reiterated that it is working diligently for the safety of consumers nationwide.
