Founder of the Holiness of Christ Zion Ministry, Prophet Ogyaba, has advised Bishop Daniel Obinim to formally return his wife, Florence Obinim, to her family if he no longer wishes to remain in the marriage.
According to the outspoken preacher, such a decision would be more honourable than exposing her to public embarrassment and emotional suffering.
Speaking on the matter, Prophet Ogyaba stressed that marriage should not become a source of psychological pain for either partner.
“If you marry a woman and later realise that your feelings for her have changed, the right thing to do is to return her to her family. Do not disgrace her publicly or stand on the pulpit making statements that tarnish her image.
“Emotional trauma can have serious consequences, and when a person is left to suffer in silence, the effects can be devastating. That benefits no one,” he stated.
The man of God further suggested that Bishop Obinim should ensure a fair distribution of any assets accumulated during their union and provide Florence with her rightful portion should they decide to part ways.
He noted that such an arrangement would enable her to rebuild her life independently and focus on her future.
Prophet Ogyaba also argued that if the couple can no longer coexist peacefully, they may be better off finding partners who are more compatible with their expectations rather than remaining in a troubled relationship that could negatively affect their mental and emotional well-being.
His remarks follow recent comments attributed to Bishop Obinim during a church service, where he reportedly stated that in the event of his death, his funeral arrangements should be handled by the church rather than his wife.
Days later, the founder of International God’s Way Church allegedly made further claims that Florence Obinim had begun keeping the wrong company and was no longer adhering to his guidance.
