The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has recorded an 88.7% success rate in its just-ended constituency executives elections across the country.
In a statement signed by General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, the party said elections were held peacefully in 245 out of the 276 constituencies.
According to the statement, 23 constituency elections have been put on hold due to several disputes.
Four other constituencies could not hold their elections due to last minute challenges. The affected constituencies are Ningo Prampram, Atwima Mponua, Obuasi West and Trobu.
The statement further indicated that the National Steering Committee will review election activities in four constituencies: Afigya Sekyere East, Adansi Asokwa, Bantama and Asante Akyem Central.
“We have achieved 88.7% in terms of success,” the statement said.
The National Secretariat reaffirmed its commitment to resolving all outstanding issues and thanked party members for ensuring peaceful elections.
“Thanks to all Patriots for a successful elections,” Mr. Kodua stated.
