Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has urged the newly elected national executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to unite party members and strengthen grassroots structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.
He said this when the executives led by National Chairman John Boadu paid a courtesy call on the former President at his private office.
Addressing the delegation, Akufo-Addo emphasised the importance of “unity, commitment, and effective grassroots mobilisation” in achieving the party’s goal of returning to power under the leadership of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
He encouraged the executives to work together to build a stronger and more formidable NPP.
The executives reaffirmed their commitment to this mission and pledged to work tirelessly to secure victory in the 2028 elections, winning both the presidency and a strong majority in Parliament.
“Together, let us unite, rebuild, and work towards victory in 2028,” they said in a post made by the party’s 2nd Vice Chairman, Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B).
