The Sekondi Essipong Sports Stadium has received conditional approval from FIFA and CAF to host the second-leg qualifier between Ghana and Mauritius in the second qualifying round of the Olympic Games.
This follows a series of engagements between the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the continental and world football governing bodies.
The Black Queens will host Mauritius on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the Sekondi Essipong Sports Stadium in Sekondi-Takoradi.
Ghana holds a commanding lead after securing a 3-0 victory in the first leg played in Mauritius and will look to complete the job at home to advance to the next round of the qualifiers for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
FIFA has since appointed match officials for the crucial encounter.
Burundian official Nsabima Joselyne will serve as referee, assisted by compatriot Niyokindi Anitha as Assistant Referee 1 and Ethiopia’s Defersha Sentayehu as Assistant Referee 2.
Ethiopia’s Shibre Yordanos Mulugeta will serve as the fourth official, with Algerian Moula Slidja appointed as referee assessor and Cham Sainabou of The Gambia as match commissioner.
