Angry NDC supporters curse NPP members ahead of voters registration exercise
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

A group calling themselves concerned members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Sekyere Afram plains constituency of the Ashanti region, have instructed a river god in the area, Drobon, to strike dead any person who is not a resident in the constituency but will dare to register in the upcoming voters registration exercise.

The angry members of the opposition political party on Friday, June 26, 2020, said they were forced to make an official appeal to the river god, as part of measures to stop the sinister agenda of the NPP to get more people to move into the constituency to register during the exercise which opens on Tuesday, June 30.

According to the group, the NPP in 2016 bused lots of people from Kumasi, Kumawu and other towns for similar exercise.

They recalled how a student from Tweneboah Koduah SHS died while being conveyed to the constituency by some persons believed to be NPP members.

Addressing the media after sacrificing a ram, fowl and pouring of libation into the river Drobon, the group called on parents in the Ashanti region to stop their children from trooping to the constituency to register.
