Veteran actress and television personality, Grace Omaboe, has expressed gratitude to the Angel Broadcasting Network (Angel FM and Angel TV), for keeping her relevant after her hey days in the showbiz industry.
This comes after she received an award in her home for her contribution to entertainment industry.
“Had it not been people like you (Angel FM and Angel TV), we would have been forgotten”, she said.
‘Maame Dokono’ as she is popularly called, thanked Captain Smart, host of ‘Anɔpa Bɔfoɔ’ and his team of producers for their continuous support to her.
She also took the opportunity to advise the youth especially young ladies, to be serious and professional in their work.
According to her, young ladies can still succeed without giving in to sexual demands from potential employers. She encouraged them to be diligent in their work.
Speaking in Twi , she said “CEOs and producers would still employ you because your expertise are relevant to the success of their business”.
Maame Dokono added that she was able to do things for herself and didn’t rely on any man to make it in life.
She also recounted some shows that she pioneered in her hey days such as ‘By the fireside’, ‘Odo ne Asomdwee’ and ‘Obra’.
She explained that these shows gave insight into life while others also focused on educating children.
