Local automobile manufacturing firm, Kantanka Automobiles, has manufactured a new bullion van which will help convey monies from one point to another.
The manufacturing of the vehicle comes after recent attacks on bullion vans in the country by armed robbers. The latest led to the killing of a Police Officer at James Town in Accra.
The armed robbers numbering about six in number after shooting the armed officer in the head also injured the driver in the hand. Two other tellers who were in the vehicle however escaped unhurt.
An eye witness who was hiding in a provision store at the scene of the incident was also shot dead.
The incident has led to a directive by the IGP for all vans to stop using 4 X 4 vehicles as bullion vans in the country.
It is in the midst of this that the CEO of Kantanka autombiles has posted a new bullion van which has been manufactured by the local company.
