Accra Hearts of Oak have parted ways with Coach Samuel Boadu and his entire technical team of the senior team with immediate effect.
A statement issued by the club on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, said the decision became necessary because the club is keen on taking a new direction and the energy to ensure its broader objectives are achieved.
As a result, the statement said the coach of the U20 Samuel Nii Noi will take charge of the team until a substantive head coach is appointed in the coming days.
“The Board and management will like to thank Samuel Boadu and his assistants for their contribution to our history and the memories – which will always remain with us. The club will like to wish them the best of luck in their future endeavours.
“We wish to assure all fans that, the club is taking all the necessary steps including assistance from our CVCA partners in this effort at restructuring the technical team,” the statement said.
This means he left his role alongside assistant Hamza Mohammed and goalkeepers coach Eric Amponsah.
Samuel Boadu’s departure comes just three games into the 2022/23 betpawa Ghana Premier League season after being under intense pressure following the poor start of the season.
Hearts of Oak opened their season with a defeat against Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park before the 1-1 draw with regional rivals Accra Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium.
In the week three game, he masterminded the team’s fight to pick one point against bitter rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko over the weekend at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Samuel Boadu who joined the Phobian family two seasons ago led the side to win the two FA Cup trophies, one super cup, one president cup, and a league title.
