18 suspects are currently in the grips of the police following their involvement in the killing of 11 persons in the Upper West Regional capital, Wa.
The arrest was effected by the Upper West regional police command.
A principal state attorney at the Upper West regional office of the Attorney General’s Department, Saeed Abdu-Shakur confirmed the arrest in a Citi News interview.
According to him, eight suspects have been granted bail by the Wa Circuit Court.
The remaining 10, he said, have been remanded in police custody for further investigations into the said killings.
Police have announced a GH¢100,000 bounty for information leading to the arrest of persons behind the killings in Wa in the last couple of months.
Meanwhile, the Police Service has also assured residents of Wa of their safety despite the horrific incidents.
