A devastating collision between two motorcycles on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, has resulted in the deaths of two individuals.

The incident occurred between the communities of Tebesso No. 2 and Kokofu Anwiaso, in the Bosome Freho district of the Ashanti region.

According to an eyewitness report, the collision happened when the two motorcyclists were moving in opposite directions. One was moving from Tebesso No. 2, while the other was coming from Anwiaso. The incident happened around 1:00 PM.

“Both of the motorcyclists were traveling in opposite directions, one was moving from Tebesso No. 2 and the other one was coming from Anwiaso,” the eyewitness recounted.

In a video posted online, the eyewitness explained that one of the victims, Francis Yeboah, popularly known as Paa Kwadwo and a final year student of the Agona Sabath Day Adventist (SDA) Senior High School (SHS), was en route from Tebesso to Anwiaso to pick up a teammate who had been featured in a Christmas football tournament at Tebesso No. 2.

Tragically, he collided with another motorcyclist only identified as K, who was speeding from Anwiaso towards Tebesso. The impact caused the motorbikes to immediately burst into flames, resulting in the instant death of both riders.

“Both victims were residents of Tebesso No. 2, and their deaths have cast a pall over the Christmas celebrations,” according to the eyewitness.
