2025/26 WPL: Linda Owusu handed maiden top-flight officiating role

Koforidua-based referee Linda Owusu has been handed her maiden top-flight assignment in the 2025/26 Women’s Premier League (WPL) which kickoff on Friday, October 31, 2025.

She has been appointed to officiate a Southern Zone fixture between debutant Oak FC, the women’s side of Accra Hearts of Oak and Hasaacas Ladies FC.

Madam Owusu will be supported on the lines by Abradu Annabel and Nkansah Josephine, with Alornyo Victoria Mawutor serving as fourth official. The Match Commissioner for the game is Nyarkoh Vivian Effie.

The match is scheduled for Saturday, November 2, at 3:00 PM at the Pobiman Sports Complex.

Regarded as one of the elite female referees in the Eastern Region, Madam Owusu is expected to justify her promotion with a confident performance on the day.

She has consistently demonstrated excellence in officiating both male and female competitions on the domestic front.

Her composure, decisiveness, and firm command of match handlings have earned her admiration among fans.
