Female supporters of Swedru-based Ghana Premier League (GPL) team, All Blacks, have called out persons celebrating the team’s beautiful football yet unproductive performances.

They hinted that results in football matter more than aesthetics.

The supporters statement is linked with the team’s disappointing season in the ongoing 2025/26 GPL under the helm of coach Ahmed Fathi, whose tactics have come under scrutiny. The team has 8 points after 10 matches.

Speaking to the media, Josephine Amoah popularly known as Maame Esi, who speaks for the female supporters’ front, said beautiful football without productivity is needless.

She emphasized that the club’s heritage demands victories and not just applause for style.

Therefore, she called the bluff of persons applauding the coach for playing beautiful football, noting that Swedru All Blacks is a traditional club playing top-flight football and cannot afford to be reduced to an “academy” side.

“Excuse me to say, I don’t know why this coach doesn’t want changes, he is always using a 20 particular players meanwhile we have 40 registered players.

“What buffles the most is that the needed results is eluding us yet some people keep praising him for playing good football. For crying out sake, Swedru All Blacks is not an Academy, we are a premier league team,” She said.

She touched on their inability to beat Hearts of Oak, accusing the Egyptian coach of fielding inexperienced players.

“You [coach] are playing experience team like Accra Hearts of Oak yet you kept your experienced players on the bench, what type of coach are you?” she rhetorted.

Maame Esi made these remarks on Saturday, November 15, 2025, after the team were held to a stalemate by Accra Hearts of Oak at the Swedru Sports Stadium in a Ghana Premier League fixture.
