Outspoken Ghanaian prophet, Jedidiah Henry Kore, popularly known as Fire Oja, has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service over alleged defamatory comments made against musician Mzbel.
According to reports, the leader of Zion Prayer Ministries International was arrested on January 5, 2026, following a complaint filed by Mzbel. The arrest followed a viral video that circulated widely on social media.
In the video, Fire Oja claimed that Mzbel was seriously ill and had been admitted to a hospital in Kasoa.
“Mbel was seriously ill, and she was taken to a hospital at Kasoa. It was God who saved her,” he said.
The prophet further alleged that after recovering, the musician engaged in what he described as soul travel.
“But she has come online to say that she went to do soul travel. Be very careful if you are following her,” Fire Oja stated.
He warned fans of the musician to be cautious, saying,
“If you are following such a public figure, be careful because she can lead you to the wrong place.”
Fire Oja also challenged Mzbel to publicly deny his claims.
“I dare Mzbel to come out and deny it if I am telling lies. I have evidence of everything I am saying right now. If she thinks I am telling lies, she should dare come online and deny it,” he said.
Meanwhile, Mzbel has confirmed the arrest of the controversial prophet.
In an Instagram post, the musician disclosed that Fire Oja has pleaded guilty to all the charges levelled against him.
According to Mzbel, the prophet has also apologised to her over the defamatory comments.
