District Chief Executive (D.C.E) for Asutifi South in the Ahafo Region, Mr. Benjamin Asabil Donkor, has applauded President John Dramani Mahama’s administration describing it as a listening government that delivers tangible development to the people.
Speaking at the tour of the ongoing projects in the district, Mr. Donkor said the Mahama-led government has done a “yeoman’s job,” particularly in the area of road infrastructure.
According to him, through the District Assembly, residents of Asutifi South are now enjoying a first-class road network, a development he described as unprecedented in the area’s history.
He recalled that the late Goaso Manhene had on several occasions lamented the poor state of the roads further pleaded with previous governments for intervention, however, such appeals proved futile until the Mahama administration took action.
Mr Donkor commended President Mahama and Ahafo Regional Minister for the establishment of a new Passport Office in the Ahafo Region.
He noted that the facility has significantly eased the burden on residents who previously had to travel long distances to access passport services.
He also urged residents to continue supporting development-oriented leadership that listens to the needs of the people and delivers on its promises.
