Ghanaian musician Sista Afia has issued an official press statement to address circulating social media reports claiming she personally invited young performer Tracy Shay onto the stage during her recent concert.
In a statement shared on her Facebook page, the singer clarified that she had no knowledge of how or when Tracy Shay mounted the stage and stressed that she did not personally invite her to perform.
“My attention has been drawn to a number of social media stories, videos, and write-ups suggesting that I personally invited the young lady, Tracy Shay, onto the stage during my concert. I wish to clearly state that I have no knowledge of how or when she got onto the stage, and I did not personally invite her to do so,” the statement read.
Sista Afia noted that her immediate priority remains the success and review of her 10th Anniversary Celebration in the music industry, describing the event as a major milestone in her career.
“At this moment, my main focus is on the overall success of my 10th Anniversary Celebration in the music industry, which was a significant milestone for my career,” she stated.
The award-winning artiste added that she is currently engaging her management and team in a series of meetings to assess all aspects of the event, indicating that a comprehensive response regarding the matter will be released in due course.
“I am currently holding a series of meetings with my management and team to review all aspects of the event. A detailed response on this matter will be issued at the appropriate time,” she added.
Sista Afia concluded her statement by expressing heartfelt appreciation to her fans, colleagues, sponsors, and the general public for the overwhelming support shown during the anniversary celebration.
“Once again, I sincerely thank my fans, supporters, colleagues, sponsors, and the general public for the immense love and support shown to me during this historic celebration. Your encouragement means everything to me,” she said.
