Founder and leeader of the International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, has issued a stern warning to the public to desist from making comments linking him romantically to actress Benedicta Gafah or comparing her to his wife, Florence Obinim.
In a video circulating on social media on Friday, January 9, 2026, the outspoken preacher addressed what he described as false and damaging rumours about his personal life.
“This warning goes to everyone. I don’t want to see any comments concerning Benedicta Gafah and I, or even Florence Obinim, anywhere. This is a warning,” Bishop Obinim stated.
He firmly denied claims of having a sexual or romantic relationship with the actress, stressing that the allegations are completely untrue.
“Benedicta and I have no sexual relationship or whatsoever. I was there last week and she called me to report that people are claiming we are in a relationship and commenting under her post asking what is going on between both of us,” he explained.
According to Bishop Obinim, Benedicta Gafah had already attempted to defend herself publicly, but the rumours and comparisons persisted.
“And people keep comparing her to Florence Obinim. Benedicta and I are not in any relationship. We aren’t dating, she is not my second wife,” he said.
The controversial pastor further emphasized that he is married to only one woman and has no girlfriend.
“I have married only once and one woman, which is Florence Obinim, and I don’t have any girlfriend. Benedicta and I are not in any relationship. She came to my church once and didn’t come back again,” he added.
Bishop Obinim ended his statement with a strong caution, warning of consequences for anyone who continues to drag the names of Benedicta Gafah or his wife into such discussions.
“If I see any comments comparing Benedicta and Florence Obinim or commenting her name under my posts or my wife’s posts, or vice versa, I won’t take it lightly with the person,” he said angrily.
