Member of Parliament (MP) for Akyem Oda, Alexander Akwasi Acquah, has accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of failing to deliver on campaign promises and behaving inconsistently since taking office.
Speaking on ‘Anopa Bofoɔ’ on Thursday, March 26, 2026, he could not comprehend the shift in the NDC’s stance on key policy proposals, noting that the inconsistency has become their identity.
“The biggest conversation is that this government consistently is proving that they are inconsistent. Consistently when the government came into power all the things they are doing show that they are inconsistent,” he said.
He stated that many commitments made by the NDC during the campaign that persuaded Ghanaians to vote for them are not being honoured.
Mr. Acquah pointed to specific areas where Ghanaians had placed trust in the NDC, including galamsey, LGBTQ issues, sole sourcing and recruitment, but accused the government of acting contrary to its pledges.
“Ghanaians had trust in you in areas of galamsey, in areas of LGBTQ, in areas of sole sourcing, in areas of recruitment. Anything NDC used as a campaign, when they came into power they are doing the opposite, which means they have lied to Ghanaians,” he stated.
He further warned that continued broken promises could erode public trust in politicians altogether.
