The Functional Executive Committee (FEC) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has issued a strict directive on the mounting of campaign posters and banners across the country.
In a statement dated October 9, 2026, and signed by the General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the party said it has observed with concern that some members and aspirants have mounted oversized campaign posters and banners at various locations during the ongoing reorganisation of the Party.
The FEC at its meeting held on Tuesday, October 6, deliberated extensively on the matter, mindful of the need to maintain order and discipline and to ensure a level playing field for all aspirants.
The Committee further noted that as the party in government, the NDC must lead by example through modesty and restraint and must avoid any display of extravagance or perception of it that is inconsistent with the values it espouses and the expectations of the Ghanaian people.
Following its deliberations, the FEC has directed that campaign posters and banners shall not exceed a maximum size of 5ft width by 8ft height and shall be displayed only at Constituency Offices, Regional Offices, and election grounds.
All members and aspirants whose posters or banners do not currently conform to this directive have been given five days with effect from tomorrow to take the necessary steps to comply.
The FEC appreciated the enthusiasm and commitment of members and aspirants and trusts that all will cooperate fully in upholding this directive, however, any wilful disregard of it shall attract appropriate disciplinary action in accordance with the Party’s Constitution, Electoral Guidelines, and other applicable directives.
