Ghanaian actor and entertainer Don Little says that financial difficulties forced him to drop out of school, as his parents struggled to pay his fees.
Speaking in an interview on October 11, 2026, the actor recounted how he frequently changed schools because he could not afford the fees.
“I went to school, but because I came from a poor home, I couldn’t pay my fees and had to keep changing schools severally,” he said.
Don Little explained that he would move from one school to another whenever it was time to pay his fees, in an attempt to continue his education despite his family’s financial difficulties.
“When I attend a school and it’s time to pay fees, I switch to a different one. It was a plan to dodge paying fees,” he stated.
He said his mother eventually advised him to quit school because the practice was not helping him and could damage his reputation.
The actor also disclosed he wasn’t a big fan of government schools, that he preferred attending a private school. This is because he believed it would help develop his talents.
According to him, he possessed several practical skills that he hoped a private school would nurture.
“The private school could polish and bring my talent to life. I have so much talent. I can make a car out of cans. I can even open a radio to repair it,” he said.
Despite the challenges, Don Little eventually completed junior high school (JHS) in 2011, although he said he had to repeat classes several times along the way.
