The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced plans to release the second batch of postings for the 2026/2027 national service year, with greater emphasis on private sector placement opportunities.
In a press release dated October 12, 2026, the Authority said the second batch of postings are expected to be released, with subsequent batches expected to follow in the coming days.
The NSA assured prospective National Service Personnel (NSPs) who are yet to receive their postings that the process is ongoing and urged them to remain calm and patient as arrangements are finalised to facilitate their deployment.
“All eligible applicants who are yet to be posted are assured that their postings will be completed in due course,” the statement said.
The Authority said it was placing greater emphasis on private sector placements to complement opportunities in the public sector and broaden the range of institutions and organisations available to prospective personnel.
According to the NSA, the initiative is intended to strengthen the link between national service and the world of work by providing personnel with relevant workplace experience, practical skills and competencies required in the job market.
The Authority also said it was committed to working more closely with private sector organisations to create meaningful placement opportunities and promote the retention of National Service Personnel by their host organisations after the completion of their service.
The statement added that stronger collaboration with the private sector could help deserving personnel transition from national service into sustainable employment, contributing to youth employment, productivity and national development.
The NSA has therefore encouraged private sector organisations, businesses and other eligible institutions to partner with the Authority by offering placement opportunities and considering qualified National Service Personnel for permanent employment after their service.
The Authority reiterated that prospective personnel who are yet to receive their postings should remain assured that the process is progressing and advised them to rely on its official communication channels for updates and further information regarding their deployment.
