The Agona Nkwanta District Police Command in the Western Region has arrested a 30-year-old farmer, Emmanuel Kwofie, after he was captured in a viral video assaulting his wife, Diana Mensah, aged 25, at Agona Domeabra.
The suspect was arrested on October 12, 2026, at about 7:00 p.m. following the police’s swift investigation into the incident.
According to a police statement, preliminary reports indicate that the suspect accused his wife of engaging in an extramarital affair and subsequently assaulted her.
The victim was, however, rescued by a good Samaritan and later treated at the Agona Nkwanta Polyclinic.
The police confirmed that the suspect is currently in custody and will be arraigned before court to face justice.
