Parliament has opened accreditation for journalists and media houses intending to cover the presentation of the 2027 Budget Statement.
The 2027 Budget Statement, scheduled for Thursday, November 12, 2026, in Parliament, will be presented by the Minister of Finance, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson.
In a statement issued by the Parliamentary Service and signed by the Director of Media Relations, David Sebastian Damoah, Parliament said it had put measures in place to ensure that journalists intending to report from Parliament comply with laid-down protocols.
Accreditation is therefore a requirement for coverage of the event, with November 9, 2026, set as the deadline for submissions.
“Journalists who intend to cover the event require accreditation. Failure to obtain accreditation will result in denial of access. Interested journalists and Media Houses are required to submit their applications not later than Monday, 9th November, 2026,” Parliament noted
According to the statement, all applications are to be submitted through dsdamoah@parliament.gh or by contacting the undersigned on 0240297110 for further details.
Journalists have been urged to ensure that their accreditations are conspicuously displayed throughout the event and adhere to all security measures put in place to ensure a successful exercise.
“All Journalist/Reporters should restrict themselves to the designated areas as indicated on their respective accreditation,” It added.
