The Founder and President of the Angel Group of Companies, Dr Kwaku Oteng, has officially launched two new products, ‘Angel Kill’ insecticide and ‘Ebɛso Dɔsɔɔ’ fertiliser to help farmers combat insects, pests and crop diseases, as well as improve crop yields.
The much-anticipated launch of the products took place at Goaso in the Ahafo Region on Friday, November 6, 2026.
Addressing the gathering, the prominent business mogul underscored the effectiveness of the products, saying they were manufactured to complement farmers’ efforts and improve agricultural productivity.
He explained the development process behind the company’s new products, recounting that:
“Talking about the Angel Kill insecticide and ‘Ebɛso Dɔsɔɔ’, I did not manufacture these products overnight. I sent them to COCOBOD for research, and it took three years before they accepted that the products could be introduced for use.
“At a point, I was overwhelmed by the number of years the research took, so I wondered what sort of products could take such a long time to undergo research. But officials of COCOBOD told me to exercise restraints because cocoa is very dear to the country, so products cannot be manufactured for the sector just like that.
“After the research, they took the products to Germany to authenticate their effectiveness through laboratory tests, and that took about one year before they were approved.”
He added that “So, in all, I would say it took three years before we received the green light for farmers to use them. COCOBOD authorities can attest to my account and have knowledge of this.”
Dr Kwaku Oteng encouraged farmers to embrace the products, describing their introduction as a long-held dream to support farmers in addressing pest and disease challenges affecting agricultural production.
“My prayer is that God will continue to bless and help me so that I can fulfil what God sent me to do on this earth – to do what will benefit people in Ghanaian society.
“If you are here as a farmer, I will tell you without doubt that you have now got very suitable products for your farm produce and cocoa to help improve your farming yields,” he added.
He emphasised that Angel Kill Insecticide would help farmers tackle insect pests affecting various crops, including cocoa, as well as black pod disease.
“I know these products are very good and effective, and I know you [farmers] will never regret using them,” Dr Oteng said further at the launch.
Touching on Ebɛso Dosso, he said the product was designed to improve crop performance and increase farmers’ yields during harvesting.
He indicated that its uniqueness compared with other products was that crops treated with it could be consumed on the same day without any harmful effects on the human body.
According to him, the product is more natural, making it one farmers can place their trust in for their various agricultural activities.
He further disclosed that COCOBOD had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Angel Group of Companies, under which the company would supply the Board with Angel Kill Insecticide and Ebɛso Dɔsɔɔ for distribution to farmers.
The launch brought together farmers, traditional authorities from Goaso and surrounding communities, as well as well-wishers who graced the occasion.
