Deputy Director of Communication of Movement for Change, Courage Nobi has pointed out that Attorney General’s hunt for Caisel Ato Forson is nothing purposefully than mere political points that he is after.
Appearing on Angel Morning Show, May 30, 2024, Nobi highlighted that the Attorney General has had seven years to bring charges against Ato Forson but has only now, with elections approaching, shown urgency in pursuing the case.
“Seven years plus and the case hasn’t gotten to any logical conclusion but upon realizing this is an election year, A-G is frantic and in a hurry to persecute Ato Forson to make a political statement,” he said.
Nobi underscored the importance of fighting corruption but emphasized that it must be done impartially and sincerely. He criticized the current government’s handling of corruption allegations within its ranks, noting a lack of punitive measures.
“It is important we fight corruption but you can’t do it without being genuine. Which of the corruption allegations in this government have been prosecuted?” he questioned.
