The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that the registration window for the 2025/26 football season will officially close on Sunday, August 31, 2025.
The registration period, which opened on Monday, June 23, 2025, allows all clubs affiliated with the GFA to complete player transfers and registrations in line with the Association’s regulations.
The regulations mandate the opening of the main registration window before the commencement of every football season.
The GFA has stressed that the August 31 deadline will be strictly enforced. Clubs are therefore required to complete all registrations before the deadline, with any queries raised by the Association to be resolved within a day, including weekends.
According to the GFA, the deadline for depositing funds into the registration wallet of clubs is Wednesday, August 27, 2025, with proof of payment forms to be emailed to the GFA Finance Department via finance@ghanafa.org
The Association has urged all clubs to strictly comply with the timelines to ensure a smooth registration process ahead of the news season, which begins with the Ghana Premier League on Friday, September 12, 2025.
