Lawmaker for Akuapem North Constituency, Sammi Awuku, is urging members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to conduct their political activities in a respectful and civil manner.
Mr. Awuku highlights embracing campaigns free of insults in the best interest of the NPP as they head to another crucial moments of internal elections in 2026 to elect leaders for the next general elections.
In a post on Facebook Wednesday, August 27, 2025, he stressed “Let the campaign be civil and decent.”
“Let’s extol the values and virtues of our preferred candidate and let the campaign be devoid of acrimony, antagonism and insults for the sake of the NPP’s future,” he said in a post on Facebook.”
He believes party members focuses on promoting their candidate while avoiding actions that could undermine the unity and future of the NPP.
Mr. Awuku further expressed optimism about the party’s chances in the next general election, while also calling for divine guidance.
“May the NPP God guide us all to victory in 2028. For this and many more I pray,” he said.
