Deputy Director of Communications for the Movement for Change, now rebranded as the United Party, Courage Nobi, has officially resigned from the party.
According to Mr. Nobi, his decision followed a period of reflection and a new direction for his life’s purpose and for Ghana, rooted in his commitment to “faith, integrity, and patriotism.”
In a formal statement dated November 3, 2023, Mr. Nobi expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve under the founder and leader of the UP, Alan Kyerematen, disclosing that he has personally communicated his decision to the latter.
“I wish to state without ambiguity that I am not a member of the United Party,” he declared and further expressed that “I remain eternally grateful for the opportunity to have served under the brilliant leadership of Hon. Alan Kyerematen – championing his vision and cause.”
He acknowledged his roles within the party, including Director of Communications for the Youth Caucus and Deputy Director for Policy Research, describing them as formative experiences.
Mr. Nobi clarified that his resignation was not a move toward another political party, indicating that he is simply stepping away from partisan politics.
He emphasized his continued dedication to Ghana’s development, stating that he avails himself of every opportunity to enhance public discourse on critical national issues in the quest to contribute to national progress.
“I remain vividly involved in the building of our nation through offering governance solutions, promoting and upholding ethical leadership, and presenting dissenting views to enhance good governance.”
