The government has announced that the state funeral for the late Former First Lady, Mrs. Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, is scheduled to take place on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Independence Square in Accra.
According to a government statement, the state funeral is in recognition of Mrs. Rawlings’ significant contributions to the advancement of women’s and children’s rights in Ghana and her impact on national development.
The statement issued by the Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu on Thursday, November 6, noted that the funeral will be held under the uspieces by President John Dramani.
Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings passed away at age 76, in the early hours of Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Ridge Hospital in Accra after a short illness.
