The Black Stars held their first training session in Virginia after arriving in the United States on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, for the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
The session, held at the American University pitch, included all 26 players on the squad and was directed by head coach Carlos Queiroz and his staff.
According to the Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) Communications, there are no injury concerns at the camp.
It noted that the team will continue their preparations at the same venue until June 12, when they will depart for Rhode Island for the final stage of their preparations.
Ghana will open their tournament campaign on June 17 against Panama at 11:00 PM, then face England six days later on June 23 at 8:00 PM.
Their final group match will be against Croatia on June 27, with hopes of advancing to the next round and improving on their 2022 campaign in Qatar, where they failed to go past the group stage.
