A New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate of the Fomena Constituency in the 2020 elections, Philip Ofori Asante, known widely in the political circles as POFA, has highlighted the importance of Kojo Bamba’s election as First Vice Chairman of the party.
The former Delta Force Vigilante group leader defies all odds against political gurus including Nana Akomeah, Nana B, Mustapha Hammid, among others to win the Vice Chairman race.
He would be assisted by Nana B and Nana Akomeah as 2nd and 3rd Vice Chairmen, respectively.
Chairman Bamba’s election has, however, generated widespread discussions in the political space, particularly how the party members opted for his candidature over top and experienced politicians.
Discussing the development with Saddick Adams on Angel TV, POFA linked Chairman Bamba’s amazing victory to God’s divine in blessing his worshippers at his given time.
He, however, indicated that the choice of the electorate clearly attests to the fact that the NPP has evolved in restoring their trust in the youths.
“We have to understand that it is God who makes kingship, and until his best timing for you is due, you will believe he [God] has forgotten you. And this can be compared to Chairman Bamba’s story.
“His elections also prove that the NPP now believes in the youth,” the failed Parliamentary aspirants stated on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
He emphasised and declared that the narratives among the public that the opposition NPP does not trust in its youth when it comes to leadership must be rubbish and condemned.
“The perception that the NPP doesn’t believe in the youth should be nipped in the bud,” says Mr. Ofori.
He further applauded Chairman Bamba for the feat achieved and described his campaign approach as very “strategic,” which proved significant to his victory.
According to him, his well-crafted campaign message that resonates with the electorates to elect him shows he has something hidden in his personality.
Born Kwadwo Fosu Boadu, the energetic and exuberant youth polled 3,116 votes to emerge as the top vote-getter among 13 candidates who contested the three Vice Chairmanship positions.
