The Minister of Food and Agriculture, Eric Opoku, has appealed to Corporate Ghana, development partners and financial institutions to support the 42nd National Farmers’ Day celebration.
He said the support would help honour and empower farmers who contribute to sustaining Ghana’s food systems and securing the country’s future.
Mr. Opoku said the theme for this year’s celebration, “Our Farmers, Our Food, Our Future,” represents the direct correlation between supporting farmers and ensuring national food security and economic stability.
He described sponsorship of the event as a vital investment in the country’s progress, noting that it would directly contribute to rural livelihoods and overall development.
The Minister therefore called on Corporate Ghana, development partners and financial institutions to unite in supporting the celebration and recognising the contribution of farmers to the nation.
He made the appeal in a statement posted on his official Facebook page on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
