The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has refutted claims by National Democratic Congress (NDC) that governing party has no track record in terms of development.

The Party claims it has delivered more projects than the opposition NDC.

The National Organiser of the NPP, Mr. Sammi Awuku, in a rebuttal during an interview on Angel FM’s ‘Anɔpa Bɔfoɔ’ morning show on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 stated that the NPP has proven itself and has a lot to show so far as development projects were concerned.

According to him, under the leadership of President Akufo Addo, government reduced the price of fertilizer to 70 Cedis per bag  to ensure that farmers reap benefits from agricultural activities.

He noted that the same bag of fertilizer was pegged at a higher rate of 140 Cedis  under the Mahama-led administration.

To buttress his argument, he cited the Upper West Region as one of the leading producer of maize due to the government’s initiative to cater for half of farmers’ expenses on fertilizer.

The NPP National Organizer  indicated that they have been able to restore the teacher trainee and nurses’ allowance which has been beneficial to several teachers and nurses.

Mr. Sammi Awuku was quick to add that the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) programme was also a government initiative which has addressed graduate unemployment and its attendant problems.

Mr. Sammi Awuku continued that the drone services, which became a laughing stock for the opposition NDC  has also saved a lot lives from perishing.

The planting for food and jobs, he added, has also provided room for the exportation of foods from Ghana to other countries.

Meanwhile, he has noted that electorates will be voting for NPP come December 7 to show appreciation and give them four more years to do more.

“This year’s election is in two folds. The people of Ghana will be voting for appreciation and for a better future. The voting for appreciation is the already implemented policies that has been benefitted by the people of Ghana under the NPP government and the voting for a better future is the greater task ahead of what has already been done.”

Mr. Sammi Awuku has maintained that the NPP government together with the Council for Technical, Vocational Education and Training (COTVET) and the Ghana Education Service (GHS) is establishing Technical, Vocational Education and Training (TVET) centers which will be fully initiated and made free in January should NPP be re-elected into power.
