The Ghana police is going after Shatta Wale’s sister in the ongoing trial over his hoax shooting incident.
The prosecutor, Dennis Tekpetey, who is in charge of Shatta Wale’s court issue has revealed that they are still looking for one key person – sister of Shatta Wale – in the case to arrest.
According to the prosecutor, the dancehall artiste’s sister was involved in the gun shooting hoax incident because she is said to be the person who reported the incident of the alleged fake gunshot to the East Legon police.
She has been on run after the arrest of the dancehall artiste and his other accomplices.
The court has pleaded with the lawyer of Shatta Wale to help assist them get the statement in order for the trial to commence.
However, the lawyer of the accused persons, Jerry Avenorgbo, prayed the court to adjourn the case to January 2022 because his client will be leading a lot of engagements during the Christmas period.
The court presided over by Justice Emmanuel Marvin Essandoh has adjourned the case to January 25, 2022.
The three other people have been charged for abetment of criminal publication of false news.
Shatta Wale and other three persons are facing a charge of the publication of false news that caused fear and panic in the public domain.
They have all pleaded not guilty and were admitted to GH 100,000 cedis bail each with sureties who should be public servants.
