The Office of the Special Prosecutor has announced the commencement of its investigations into alleged corruption-related offences into the recent recruitment at the Ghana Police Academy.
It said in a statement signed by the Special Prosecutor K,issi Agyebeng on Thursday March 17, 2022, the investigations aimed to target specific areas.
They cases of “alleged corruption and corruption-related offences of the use of office for profit, abuse of power, favouritism, nepotism, victimisation and the selection of unqualified persons.”
This follows a publication by ‘Day Break’ newspaper on Thursday, March 17, 2022, which claimed some “84 unqualified Cadets” had been enrolled in police college.
