A disappointed chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Stephen Asamoah Boateng (Asabee) has declared his readiness to offer support to the party in its quest to retain power in the 2024 general elections.

Mr Asamoah Boateng who contested the chairmanship position of the party in the just-ended National Delegate Conference lost to Stephen Ayesu Ntim, having received 1,010 votes as against Mr Ntim’s 4,014 votes.

Despite losing the contest, the former Director General of the State Interest and Governance Authority (SIGA), said he is prepared to present himself at any given time to serve the Party as they seek to re-energise themselves in winning Elections 2024 election.

“I wish to thank everyone who shared in my vision for prosecuting the best campaign I have ever witnessed over the years by anyone aspiring for the position of NPP National Chairman

“Although we could not win as we set out to do, we can be proud of a great campaign strategy and the down-to-earth grassroots interactions.

“I am hale and hearty, and I urge you all to be also strong and motivated for the journey which lies ahead for the NPP at large. We did what was expected of us but, the Delegates believed that the currently elected Executives can do better. I respect their decision without any reservation” Asabee noted.

Sending a congratulatory message to all newly elected executives, he stated that “I also told him of my desire and preparedness to avail myself at any time to serve the Party as we seek to re-energise it in winning elections 2024 to break the 8.
