The New Patriotic Party (NPP) says it will in coming days, inaugurate regional campaign teams as part of its preparations for the 2024 general elections.
According to a release sighted by Angelonline.com.gh, the party’s National Campaign Coordinating Committee has designated a six-member team to carry out the exercise.
The inauguration exercise expected to be conducted from Monday, March 18 to Sunday, March 24, 2024, shall be done at a regional delegates’ conferences.
The yet-to-be-inaugurated campaign team grouped into four, will be headed by top officials of the NPP.
Former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bui Power Authority, Fred Oware will head the Volta, Eastern, and Oti Regions respectively as Team 1, while immediate=past Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Dan Botwe, also heads Team 2 made up of Bono, Bono East, Ahafo and Ashanti Regions.
Greater Accra, Central, Western, and the Western North Regions of Team 3 shall be headed by the General Secretary of the NPP, Justice Koduah Frimpong.
Team 4 made up of Upper West, Upper East, Northern, North East, and Savannah Regions would also be spearheaded by former Member of Parliament for Suhum, Frederick Opare Ansah.
“The regional party is hereby urged to liaise with their respective Team leaders to select dates and venues for the inauguration of their various regional campaign coordinating teams.”
This was announced in a statement dated March 16, 2024, and signed by the General Secretary of the NPP, Justice Koduah Frimpong.
