992 new cases send Ghana’s Covid-19 case count to 21,077

Ghana now has a total of 21,077 coronavirus cases after 992 new cases were recorded in the latest update by the Ghana Health Service.

Seven more persons have also died from the pandemic, shooting up the country’s death toll to 129.

The report released by the Ghana Health Service on Monday, July 6, 2020 put the recoveries at 16,070. This leaves the active cases at 4,878.

The Greater Accra region accounts for more than half of the total recorded cases in the country. It has 11,508 cases followed by the Ashanti region which has 4,534.

Ashanti Region – 4,534

Western Region – 1,846

Central Region – 992

Eastern Region – 835

Volta Region – 369

Upper East Region – 278

Western North Region – 154

Bono East Region – 139

Northern Region – 137

Oti Region – 112

Upper West Region – 55

Savannah Region – 46

Bono Region – 38

Ahafo Region – 26

North East Region – 8
