The Chief of Busunya, the Capital of the Nkoranza North District in the Bono East region, Nana Okofo Nyarko Gyabaah II has praised the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for taking steps to asphalt roads in the town.
He is also happy with the construction of the only marker in the town as well.
According to Nana Okofo Gyabaa, the town has not had motorable streets over the years despite promises by successive governments to get them constructed.
The chief bemoaned the inability of residents of Busunya to make use of the streets particularly during raining season.
“Few weeks ago, a contractor came to me to introduce himself as one asked by government to come and construct our streets and our market. I have already prepared a place for the construction team to stay. Early next month, the work will start….and I am very grateful to the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for listening to our cry,” he said.
The chief also thanked the Member of Parliament (MP) for Nkoranza North, Derrick Oduro for fighting hard for the construction of the market and the streets as well as an ultramodern ICT center for the town.
