The Interpol General Secretariat has issued a ‘red notice’ in respect of four persons in connection with the Airbus scandal that hit the nation months ago.
A signed statement from the Criminal Investigative Department (CID) of Ghana Police Service stated that, the office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), Martin Amidu, has sent a formal request to Interpol through the CID.
The individuals, two males and two females, are as follows: Samuel Adam Foster (alias Adam Mahama), Philip Sean Middlemiss, Leanne Sarah Davis and Sarah Furneaux.
“The above mentioned individuals have been published on the INTERPOL, Red Notice in connection with the airbus scandal being handled by the Office of the Special Prosecutor”, the statement read.
On January 31, 2020, Ghana was named as one of five countries which the plane maker, Airbus, bribed state officials with millions of dollars to gain contracts.
President Akufo-Addo latter referred the matter to Martin Amidu to probe it.
