Black Stars goalkeeper, Razak Abalorah, has signed a three-year deal with Kumasi Asante Kotoko. The former West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) shot stopper has been out of the country for almost three years after he moved from the club to Tanzania.
The Porcupine Warriors have three national team keepers ahead of the new season. Others are Kwame Baah, who was Coach Anyars Ibrahim Tanko’s number one option during the 2019 U-23 Olympics Qualifiers and later became Coach Maxwell Konadu’s first goalkeeper snatching the number one spot from Felix Annan.
The 2019 SWAG Domestic Footballer of the year, Felix Annan, also a WAFA alum, has been the safest pair of hands for the ‘Kum apem’ side until his wedding and honeymoon during the truncated league.
The former Azam FC goalkeeper, Abalorah joined the Ghana Premier League giants, Asante Kotoko on a free transfer.
While others envisage the impending rivalry, competition and drama for the goalkeepers and technical staff of the team, Kotoko are no strangers at having top notch shot stoppers as they have dealt with Eddie Ansah, Osei Kwame and Mohammed Odoom who were all national team players.
The porcupine warriors have signed Patrick Asmah, Yusif Mubarik and Emmanuel Keyekeh to boost the squad ahead of the 2020/2021 season.
