Former Kotoko defender, Sarfo Gyamfi has attributed the club’s current form to lack of spiritual backing.
Kotoko failed to progress to the group stage of the champions league of the 2020/2021 season. Their inability to move to the next round of the competition was marred by series of scandals including the alleged rise of covid cases in the Kotoko camp. Meanwhile, Al Hilal defeated Kotoko 1-0 at the Accra Sports stadium in the first leg of the preliminary round.

“Kotoko needs a spiritual leader. The entire team need to perform some rituals. The Board,management and playing body have to call on the spirit of Subin to help them win matches. Currently, there is no power in the team. They have to go to Subin and perform certain rituals. Even if Subin is polluted and full of rubbish there is still unmatched power in it. “he opined on Floodlight Sports.
According to him, The spiritual leader must also be with team where ever they go.
