Referees Manager Alex Kotey has aligned the recent performance of the Knights of the whistle to lose of concentration.
As the Ghana Premier League comes to an end, football fans have accused referees for one too many wrong calls. Whether it is a wrongful penalty awarded, a penalty not given or a player going scot free after they commit a bookable offense.
Addressing the recent execution of their duties,on Angel Fm’s Floodlight Sports with Saddick Adams, Referees Manager Alex Kotey alluded that his men need to assess themselves after every game.
According to him, “I will not say they are inexperienced, incompetent or their performance is deliberate but sometimes when you asked the referees and their assistants they can’t even explain what’s happening to them. I think they are losing concentration and they must start to assess themselves”.
Some referees including George Vomawoh have been suspended from all football related activities for the rest of the soccer season for the multiple errors committed during league matches.
