A Security Analyst, Irbard Ibrahim, has called on authorities to start rethinking mental health in the country as part of efforts to curb the increasing murder cases in the country.
Speaking on Angel FM’s Anɔpa Bɔfoɔ Morning Show, Mr. Ibrahim who provides security advice to foreign investors as well as Ambassadors said this will curb the increasing murder case in the country.
“Mental illness is a gradual process…some people out of depression also behaves abnormally at times…,” he said.
He cited stress, overthinking and several other factors as major contibutory factor to the increasing mental illnesses in the country.
He futher called on companies and other institutions to organise mental screening for their staff at least every three months to help minimise mental diseases at the workplace.
“I think we need to rethink how we see mental health in Ghana…,” he said.
