Ghana Premier League side Kumasi Asante Kotoko has named former West African Football Academy (WAFA) coach Samuel Prosper Nartey as the permanent replacement for the departed Mareno Bareto on a two years contract.
The decision to appoint the gaffer came in line some days after the club mutually parted ways with the Portuguese trainer after the just ended Ghana Premier League season.
Nartey, a former Coach of Elmina Sharks, Ebusua Dwarfs and Karela United begins a new chapter in the Garden City as Kotoko’s new head coach and will be assisted by David Ocloo, formerly of Liberty Professionals.
Asante Kotoko making the announced in a tweet said; “We’re delighted to announce Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum as our new Head Coach. The Sports Psychologist, Educationist and Coach joins us on a 2-year deal from WAFA, having previously handled UCC Soccer Team, Elmina Sharks, Dwarfs and Karela Utd.”

Prosper Nartey however quit his job as head coach of WAFA after guiding them to a third place on the league position before taking over the Porcupine lead role.
With his acclaimed vast experience in the sport [football], will hope to change the fortune of the reds who finished second behind arch-rivals Hearts Of Oak, eventual rivals.
